About us

Founded in 1877, it was located on a large surface, bordering the Carol Park, in the downtown of Bucharest, near the first railway station of the city. The ancient buildings of the factory are the witness of the industrial development of the Bucharest, valuable material proofs of a mechanic-metallurgical new ground industry in the Old Kingdom, with the beginning in the second half of the XIX - in century.

Today, HESPER S.A., located in the same place and partial in the same buildings, prove to all the 130 years continuously of the industrial activities developed in this company.
At the beginning, the factory had manufactured military equipment, using imported machine-tools. Step by step, the manufacturing was developed:  boilers and metallic pipelines for oil industry, steam boilers and metal structures for railway bridges, harbour installations. The maximum developing period of the factory it is considerate the firs decade of the 20 century.
Starting from 1950, it began the manufacturing of elevating installations and equipment for construction industry.
In 1974 a qualitative change of manufacturing profile took place with the hydraulic apparatus and installations fabrication and in 1985 with vacuum pumps and nuclear power plant equipment fabrication.
In 1991 the company turned into a joint stock trade company and the ancient name "Steaua Rosie" changed in HESPER.
HESPER is 100% private company.
From 1997 HESPER is one of the first Romanian companies certified by SRAC - IQ-NET and works under ISO 9001:2008 Quality Assurance System.
Also HESPER is certified by:

    - ISCIR and CNCAN for nuclear activities
    - MLPAT-ICECON and RASIROM for safety equipment
    - OHSAS 18001 - for Occupational Health and Safety System
